AI empty leg search: tell Copilot your trip

Copilot is EmpTleg's AI search advisor: you describe a trip, it reads the live empty legs and explains which fit. You do not need airport codes, a date picker or a radius setting. Write the trip the way you would say it, or tap the microphone and say it, and Copilot works out the rest from the listings that are live right now.

What Copilot does

Copilot reads your question for the route, the dates, how many people are flying, and anything else that matters to the trip: bags, skis, golf clubs, a dog, a car seat. Then it runs the same live search as the Search tab, set wide on purpose: departures within about 100 nautical miles of where you are starting, arrivals within about 500, a window of three weeks either side of your date, and any aircraft size. It never shows fewer flights than that plain search would.

The flights come back in up to four labelled groups: direct, the ones between the airports you asked about or very near them; surrounding cities, with a rough drive time; flights that need positioning, where you would ask the operator whether they would move the aircraft to you and what that adds; and different dates.

For subscribers, Copilot then explains which flights fit best and why, with a short reason on each built only from the facts in the listing, and what to ask the operator when you call. It also answers the aircraft questions that decide whether a leg works at all: whether the group and the bags fit, whether the aircraft has the range, what the cabin is like, travelling with pets, and what the weather or a short runway can change. Those answers come from EmpTleg's knowledge base, written by AmeriCharter, and always end the same way: confirm the details with the operator.

What Copilot does not do

Copilot never quotes a price, never books a flight and never contacts an operator for you. Subscribers see each posted price exactly as the operator posted it, and Copilot never invents one. Copilot is automated and can make mistakes; it uses EmpTleg's listings only, and the operator is the source of truth on the aircraft, the timing and the price.

Copilot cannot promise that a leg is still open. Empty legs change and sell through the day, which is why every answer leads with the flights themselves and the next step is always to contact the operator directly.

Questions you can ask

Tap any of these to open Copilot with the question filled in. Nothing is sent until you press Ask, so change it to fit your trip first.

Basic and Premium include Copilot's full guidance, logistics included.

Open questions work too. Somewhere warm from Denver next week, or anything into Aspen from California this month, gets you the live legs that fit the shape of the trip, not one exact airport pair. How to find empty leg flights explains why searching wide finds more, and same-day and last-minute legs covers trips in the next day or two.

Why there is no broker in the middle

Operators list their own empty legs. EmpTleg gathers those listings into one search, and you contact the operator directly. EmpTleg is a search and alert service: it never arranges, quotes or books a flight, and it takes no cut of the flight. Copilot works the same way. It helps you choose; the operator confirms the trip.

That also keeps the price honest. The figure you see is the one the operator posted, and what empty legs cost explains why it can be a fraction of a full charter. Ways to fly private for less covers the rest of the options.

Your question and your privacy

If you use Copilot, EmpTleg keeps what you type and Copilot's answer for 90 days to find and fix answers that went wrong. The microphone uses your browser's own speech recognition: the words appear in the box, and no audio reaches EmpTleg. The words are never sent until you press Ask. The privacy page has the details.
